Internet Explorer 9 (Beta) – All New Browsing Experience

Internet Explorer was the crappiest browser we ever know, but not anymore. With the release of IE 9 Beta my view on this browser totally changed. There are alot of new features introduced in this version and they are some really cool stuff. Lets check it out.

First of all, the new logo. Well this new logo is not as shiny as the previous logo. Still its good enough.

With the new IE 9, we now can pin our favourite website to our taskbar, just like how we pin our most used application. To pin your desired website just drag the website logo (beside the url) to your taskbar. Now you can open any of your favorite website with just one click.

After the sucessfully pin websites to your taskbar, everytime you open the website by clicking the icon on your taskbar the browser will be personalize automatically to blend with the website. Look at this picture below.

See the difference between standard browser browsing and pin websites? Cool right. Now this one is awesome. You know when you pin websites to your taskbar, when you right click the icon there will be some option for you to make your surfing experience more easy. Look below. I pin Facebook onto my taskbar and when I right click the icon, I can see some option to straight jump to any task I want. And best of all, when I have notification on my Facebook, the icon will alert me with some marking.

That is one crazy cool features right? Overall the new UI features are:

  • Search and Address Bar are combined a la Google Chrome.
  • Tabs can be torn off and snapped like Aero Snap. A LA CHROME!
  • IE has only one drop-down menu, once again a la Google Chrome.
  • Dragging the ‘pin’ (seen to the left of the bar) to the address bar creates a shortcut on the Task-bar (similar to iPhones ‘shortcut to Homescreen’ system)

Theres more feature which is yet to be discovered and please be inform that this is only a beta release. So maybe there will be more features added in the future. For now, enjoy your new browsing experience with IE 9 Beta. Now I have reason to use IE 9 again, after I abandon it for a very long time.
