VLC is an awesome tool for watching videos and listening to online radios. But none of this will work if the network prohibits to do so. So heres a short and simple guide to configure your VLC to run through a proxy.
For Windows
Right click your vlc shortcut on desktop >> Properties
We are going to add this line to the Target.
” … ” –http-proxy=proxyaddress:port
For Linux
For linux, simply open your terminal and key in the following line
vlc –http-proxy=proxyaddress:port
Simple ain’t it ? Now you can stream through online channels through that blocked network .
